Current Vector Control Inverter

Featuring open loop current vector control, this Inverter improves the performance of all industrial machinery, contributes to energy efficiency, and offers excellent cost performance. It optimizes operation in an array of applications ranging from fans and pumps to general industrial machinery.

More powerful and more flexible than existing Inverters, providing optimum drives for any applications.
Excellent Open Loop Vector Control
You can get 150% torque at 0.5 Hz.
In addition to the current dynamic auto-tuning, the static auto-tuning is available to drive any type of motor in the world.
Characteristics in Open Loop Vector Control Mode
High torque drives are achieved from 1/100 speed even without PG (when using dynamic auto-tuning).

Enhanced Braking
Models of 18.5 kW or less have a braking function. A powerful braking is obtained only by connecting a resistor.
Reliable Protection
The high-speed, highly-accurate current limit prevents trips caused by overcurrent. The momentary power loss restart, the stall prevention, and the fault retry functions improve drive continuity.
The PTC thermistor in the motor helps protect it against overheating.
Various Functions
The software library has a great variety including the PID control, the slip compensation, the speed search and the over/under torque detection and the energy-saving.
These functions help to upgrade equipment and machinery.
Various I/O Interfaces
A variety of interfaces are available: pulse train input, pulse train monitor output, analog reference input, and analog monitor output.
Input terminal logic can switch between sink (0 V common) or source (+24 V common).
An external +24 V power supply is also available for selecting the signal input.

The simple design allows easy operation and shortens setup and maintenance times.
Easy Operation
  • The standard Digital Operator with easy-to-read LED indicators allows remote operation using an extension cable (option).

  • The quick program mode requires only a few constant settings.
  • The verify mode enables you to check all modified constants at one time.
  • Constants can be easily up/downloaded using the copy function. Even if an Inverter failure occurs, operations can be quickly resumed soon after the replacement of the Inverter.
  • An Operator with an LCD indicator supporting seven languages (note) is available as an option.
  • The LCD panel digital operator that is included as standard equipment supports seven languages: Japanese (katakana), English, German*, French*, Italian*, Spanish*, and Portuguese*. (*:Currently under development)
Easy Maintenance
  • Detachable terminals make it easy to exchange units while they are fully wired.

  • Screw terminals for the main and the control circuits and the independent cover of the wiring parts promise easy wiring and high-reliability.
    Wiring work is made even easier by a separate wiring cover.
  • The detachable cooling fan has an ON/OFF control for longer life and is easily replaced.

  • A support tool using a PC is also available.
    All constants of each Inverter can be managed by a PC.
  • The accumulated operation time and the cooling fan operation time can be recorded and displayed.

The energy-saving control approaches the maximum efficiency.
Highly-efficient, energy-saving operations are realized for any applications using either the vector control or the V/f control.

Low-Noise
Our own unique low-noise, low-carrier PWM control is available as well as the high-carrier PWM control.
Choose the one which is appropriate for your applications.

Note: For an applications with a constant torque load, use the low-carrier PWM control.

Countermeasures to minimize harmonics current
Models of 22 kW or more come equipped with a built-in DC Reactor to minimize harmonics current (option for models of 18.5 kW or less).
They also have 12-pulse input to prevent current distortion.

Note:For 12-pulse input, a transformer with a dual star-delta secondary is required for the input power supply.
