Advanced technology makes possible a host of safety standards compliances for the first time in Japan, compliance with key international standards, a diverse motor line-up, compact size, high speed and simple maintenance: everything you need to answer today's requirements.
Superlative Performance
The Σ-V series will dramatically improve productivity of industrial machines and systems, because settling time for positioning has been slashed to 0 to 4 ms (in-house comparison: 1/12th), with high-precision positioning. This was made possible by incorporating the best servo response in the industry at 1,6 kHz and the high-resolution encoder with 20-bit at 1,000,000 pulses/rev as a standard feature.
Simple Start-up
Our new tuning-less function means the servomotor works as soon as you hook it up. This changes the long-standing perception in the industry that servomotor tuning is an avoidable requirement. Two tuning functions are included to coax the maximum performance from industrial machines and systems.

Outstanding Expandability
The right servomotors and actuators, satisfying structural requirements of industrial machines and systems as well as performance requirements, can be found in our wide selection of products. Selections for rotary servomotors include small and medium capacity models with medium inertia or low inertia. The Σ-V series can provide all drive units for industrial machines and systems, as conventional direct drive and linear servomotors can also be connected. Analog voltage/pulse train reference or MECHATROLINK-II communications reference series support is a standard feature. Open network connection with a higher controller will soon be supported as an option. A host of safety standards compliance for the first time in Japan facilitated to comply with machine safety standards.
Product Line-up
A variety of servomotors with SERVOPACK are available for wide array of uses.Medium inertia series servomotors have the same flanges and external shapes as the low inertia series but have twice as much inertia. This higher inertia contributes to stable machine control as well as to making it easier to match with other machines. Low inertia series servomotors are ideal for high-speed and other high-precision positioning.
